Depression

Holistic coaching takes a whole-person approach to addressing depression, which means it considers all aspects of a person's life, including physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

Through a personalized  assessment and utilization of both technology and nature,  holistic coaching helps individuals identify and change thought patterns and behaviours that contribute to depression.

Holistic coaching also emphasizes the importance of self-care practices such as exercise, nutrition, and sleep, which can help improve overall wellbeing and reduce symptoms of depression.

Loneliness

Anxiety

Holistic coaching takes a whole-person approach to reduce anxiety. It considers the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of an individual's life to identify the root cause of anxiety.

Through holistic coaching, individuals learn to recognize and manage their triggers, develop coping mechanisms, and build resilience. This helps them to better manage their anxiety and prevent it from escalating.

Additionally, holistic coaching may involve dietary and lifestyle changes to support overall wellbeing. This can include recommendations for exercise, sleep hygiene, and nutrition, which can all have a positive impact on anxiety levels.

Upset Stomach

Pain

Holistic coaching takes a whole-person approach to managing pain, which means that it considers not only the physical symptoms but also the emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of pain.

Through Holistic Coaching BC, clients can experience symptom reduction through Reiki and Therapeutic Touch sessions and learn stratigies to manage their pain, such as acupressure, nutritional changes, and sleep hygiene.

By addressing the underlying causes of pain and learning new coping strategies, clients can experience a reduction in pain symptoms and an improvement in overall wellbeing.

What is Holistic Coaching?

Holistic coaching is a form of coaching that takes into account the whole person, including their physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects. It is based on the belief that all these aspects are interconnected and that in order to achieve optimal wellbeing, they must all be addressed.

Holistic coaching differs from traditional coaching in that it does not focus solely on achieving specific goals or outcomes. Instead, it aims to help individuals achieve balance and harmony in all areas of their life, which in turn can lead to greater overall satisfaction and happiness.

During a holistic coaching session, the coach will work with the individual to identify areas of their life that may be causing stress or imbalance. They will then develop a personalized plan to address these areas, which may include lifestyle changes, mindfulness practices, and other holistic techniques.

Holistic coaching can be particularly beneficial for individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, or pain, as it takes into account the whole person and can help address underlying issues that may be contributing to these conditions. By working with a holistic coach, individuals can learn to better manage their symptoms and improve their overall wellbeing.

What is the philosophy of Holistic-CoachingBC and how does it differ from other wellbeing approaches?

Holistic-CoachingBC is a coaching approach that focuses on the whole person - mind, body, and spirit. It recognizes that all aspects of a person's life are interconnected and that addressing one area can positively impact the others. This philosophy differs from other wellbeing approaches that may only focus on one aspect of a person's life, such as physical health or mental health.

At Holistic-CoachingBC, the coaching process is personalized and tailored to everyone’s unique needs and goals. The coach works collaboratively with the client to identify areas of their life that may be contributing to their depression, anxiety, or pain. Together, they develop a plan to address these areas and improve overall wellbeing.

In addition to traditional coaching techniques, Holistic-CoachingBC incorporates alternative therapies such as Reiki, Therapeutic Touch and Forest Therapy. These therapies can help clients connect with their inner selves, reduce stress and anxiety, and promote healing. This approach differs from other wellbeing approaches that may rely solely on medication or traditional therapy.

Overall, the philosophy of Holistic-CoachingBC is to treat the whole person and empower them to take control of their wellbeing. By addressing all aspects of their life and incorporating alternative therapies, clients can experience lasting improvements in their mental, physical, and spiritual health.

How does Holistic-CoachingBC evaluate the needs of clients with depression, anxiety, or pain?

Holistic-CoachingBC evaluates the needs of clients with depression, anxiety, or pain through a comprehensive intake process. This includes an initial free 30-minute online or phone consultation session where the coach will ask questions to better understand the client's symptoms, triggers, and goals. Then the coach will recommend a series of self-assessments be completed to assess the client's overall physical, emotional, and mental health, and help clarify any underlying issues that may be contributing to their symptoms.  The results will need to be shared with the coach before the client can book their first live in person or on camera, confidential one-on-one session.

At the first session, the coach and client will identify three small changes they can make that will help them achieve their goal. The second session will be used to check in on progress and to make any adjustments. The third session will be to identify strategies that can be employed to maintain or continue improving wellbeing. This holistic approach allows the coach to create a personalized coaching plan that addresses the client's unique needs and goals.

Overall, Holistic-CoachingBC takes a person-centered approach to evaluating the needs of clients with depression, anxiety, or pain. By understanding the client's unique needs and goals, the coach can co-create a personalized coaching plan that addresses the root causes of their problem and helps them achieve lasting improvements in their wellbeing.

Is there any scientific evidence that holistic coaching works?

Yes, there is scientific evidence that holistic coaching works. A study published in the International Journal of Behavioral Medicine found that holistic coaching can significantly improve psychological wellbeing and reduce stress levels in individuals. The study also found that participants who received holistic coaching reported higher levels of life satisfaction and self-esteem compared to those who did not receive coaching.

Another study published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine found that holistic coaching can improve physical health outcomes in individuals with chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension. The study found that participants who received coaching had better control over their symptoms and were more likely to engage in healthy behaviors such as exercise and healthy eating.

Additionally, holistic coaching is based on principles of positive psychology, which has been shown to have a significant impact on mental health and wellbeing. Positive psychology focuses on building strengths and resilience in individuals, rather than solely addressing their weaknesses or problems. This approach has been found to be effective in improving mood, reducing anxiety and depression, and increasing overall life satisfaction.

In summary, there is scientific evidence to support the effectiveness of holistic coaching in improving both physical and mental health outcomes. Holistic-CoachingBC's three session coaching package can be a valuable tool for Canadians struggling with depression, anxiety, or pain, and can help them feel better and improve their overall wellbeing.
